The Fassbind distillery in Oberarth, in the canton of Schwyz, has existed since 1846, and just ten years later, Napoléon III awarded it the gold medal for its products at the Paris World’s Fair—the highest distinction a distillery could achieve at the time. For Vieille Framboise, regional raspberries are macerated and distilled. The spirit is then aged in oak barrels for at least one year. The intense aromas are reminiscent of raspberry jam. Medium-length, fruity finish.
