Normandy is the home of French cider, which is made from many different varieties of apples. Distillation produces an apple brandy. If the apples come from the department of the same name, the finished product may be called Calvados. For Morin Calvados Sélection, the distillate is aged in oak barrels for 2–3 years. The result is a balanced and fresh apple brandy with a mild aroma and subtle woody notes.
