Ibiza and Formentera offer ideal growing conditions for all kinds of herbs. It therefore seems only logical that local distillers created an herbal liqueur from them. Since 1997, the designation "Hierbas Ibicencas" has been a protected designation of origin, and the product has found its way into bars around the world. Herbs such as thyme, rosemary, mint and anise are macerated for two weeks and then distilled. The result is a complex herbal liqueur with distinct notes of mint, fennel and juniper.
