In an elaborate, multi-stage maceration process, the flavors are extracted from the botanicals and matured in oak barrels. The Jägermeister base is later refined and diluted with water to reach an alcohol content of 35%. Jägermeister has an intense, spicy-sweet taste with a long, peppery finish.
