A Tradition Reimagined: Our Limited-Edition “Schwinger” T-Shirt

The Swiss Federal Festival of Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Games (ESAF) is deeply rooted in Swiss tradition, just like Feldschlösschen. To mark this flagship event, we’ve teamed up with Swiss designer Silvan Borer to create an exclusive T-shirt that blends tradition and modernity in a truly unique way.

The design blends the symbols and values typical of Swiss wrestling—local roots, authenticity, and community spirit—with a fresh, urban look. Clean lines and modern shapes complement traditional elements that have defined our culture for generations. The result is a T-shirt that celebrates the spirit of the ESAF while bridging the gap between rural roots and urban creativity—truly in the spirit of the Swiss “WE.”

But what’s behind this idea? We asked designer Silvan Borer what thoughts and emotions he infused into this T-shirt:

Silvan, what do Feldschlösschen and the ESAF mean to you on a personal level? Is there a particular memory or emotion you associate with these names?
“For me, Feldschlösschen and the ESAF embody true Swiss culture: two traditions that bring people together. It’s precisely this feeling that I wanted to incorporate into the design. Plus, I grew up with Feldschlösschen: being a part of it now means a lot to me.”

What was your main source of inspiration for creating the design of this limited edition?
“To create this design, I drew inspiration from the traditional symbols of Swiss wrestling. My goal was to create a modern design so that the T-shirt would look both timeless and fresh, and could thus resonate with the different generations that come together at the ESAF.”

And what feeling should this T-shirt convey to the wearer?
“This T-shirt is meant to be a symbol of Swiss unity and identity, without seeming outdated. It should combine tradition with modern values. Those who wear it show that they are part of a culture that values tradition while remaining open to new ideas. For me, it’s a symbol of pride in one’s roots and of sharing that joy with others.”
