The beginnings of Fentimans
The beginnings of Fentimans date back to 1905, when our founder Thomas Fentiman began selling his recipe for «botanically brewed» Ginger Beer by horse and cart in stone jugs known as Grey Hens.
Fearless: The loyal dog
The dog that proudly guards every Fentimans bottle is Fearless, Thomas’ loyal dog. She was the winner of the Crufts Obedience Class in 1933 and 1934. Thomas was so proud of her achievements that he not only used her portrait on all his bottles, but her image also adorned every Fentimans factory!
The art of Botanical Brewing
Every Fentimans mixer is made according to a unique, 100-year-old artisanal technique known as Botanical Brewing. This multi-stage process of infusion, fermentation, resting and blending over 7 days creates a mixer with a depth of flavour that, in combination with spirits, produces a complex taste experience.
Botanical Brewing is not a trendy label we use for marketing purposes, but the technique of producing high-quality drinks passed down from generation to generation in the Fentimans family.
