The USZIT returnable bottle is made of glass and is one of the most sustainable packaging options in the beverage sector. At Feldschlösschen, it is refilled up to 40 times before being replaced.

USZIT glasses made from recycled material
The USZIT glasses available in the twelve-pack carton are made from 100% recycled material. This creates a particularly low CO₂ footprint across the entire value chain.

Sustainable crate
The USZIT crate also impresses with its environmental friendliness. It is made entirely from 100% recycled material and holds 24 bottles.

Commitment to the Swiss forest

USZIT doesn’t just pursue its sustainability goals on paper – it supports concrete projects.

A tree for every Euro goal
During the 2021 UEFA European Football Championship, a tree was planted for every goal scored in the tournament. Together with foresters and volunteers, 1,542 trees were planted in the canton of Lucerne.

Support for the «Forest of the Future»
USZIT also participated in the «Forest of the Future» project, initiated by WWF Switzerland and the canton of Lucerne. The goal was to make damaged forest areas more resistant in the long term to storms and drought through climate-adapted tree species.

Partnership with the Mountain Forest Project
The Mountain Forest Project also received support from USZIT. Several project weeks were financed, during which volunteers carried out maintenance and restoration work in Swiss mountain forests. The foundation has been committed since 1987 to preserving the alpine cultural landscape and protecting important mountain forests.
